The Faire system can be designed for your specific purpose, whether for monitoring animals in the milking area, high yield area of the barn, loafing or any outdoor area. In a typical dairy management installation the system covers the barn and loafing areas where the animals rest, feed, drink, walk and interact with each other.
Information where you need it most...
The system can be installed such that core PC and peripheral devices such as optional touch-screens, PDA's and additional terminals can be placed where they are needed most. As an example the PC could be located in the farm office, with a PDA at the milking point or Vet check area displaying relevant information to hand. Also the mobile devices of employees can be logged onto the system for alerts and alarms to be set relevant to farm shift patterns and job requirements.
Quick & Professional install...
An installation for a 250 cow herd can typically take only 2-3 days, following a detailed initial site survey. During the site survey a three dimensional computer model of your barn or area is generated, covering all key zones such as feeding, drinking, milking, passageways, loafing areas etc. Once the site survey is completed, the installation process has been designed such that you can use your usual local electrical contractor. There is minimal disruption to the herd during this process.
Out of the way...
Sensors are typically installed high in the roofline of the barn or area, with cables similarly kept out of the way. The system is robust and reliable, housed in IP66 casing preventing environmental damage to any of the equipment.
